July Art Rituals: Reclamation
Rooted. Rising. Reigning.
Reclamation is the practice of returning to yourself.
This month, we'll journey through three guided online art rituals designed to help you reconnect with your body, reclaim your inner authority, and create from a place of freedom. Through intuitive art-making, mindfulness, and creative self-expression, you'll move from grounding in your present experience to embracing the person you're becoming.
No artistic experience is needed, only a willingness to explore.

An Embodied Body Mapping Ritual
Our journey begins by listening inward. Using a body outline, you'll create an intuitive map of your emotions, physical sensations, and inner wisdom through color, symbols, and imagery. This ritual invites you to slow down, cultivate body awareness, and embrace your experience with compassion rather than judgment.
Materials: Body outline (printed or hand-drawn), paper, your favorite art supplies (paint, markers, or colored pencils), scissors, glue, and optional collage materials.
-
A Re-Assembly Ritual
Transformation begins by choosing what to carry forward. Using your body map from Week One, you'll cut, layer, and reassemble your artwork into a new image that reflects the qualities, beliefs, and feelings you want to embody. Together, we'll release old narratives and intentionally create space for growth, resilience, and self-trust.
Materials: Your completed body map, paper, scissors, glue, favorite art supplies, and optional collage materials.
-
A Sovereignty Crown Ritual
Our final ritual is a celebration of your reclamation. You'll create a symbolic crown, headdress, halo or flowing adornment for your reclaimed self, honoring the voice, creativity, boundaries, and freedom that have always belonged to you. This closing ritual invites you to embody your authentic self and step forward with confidence, agency, and trust in your own path.
Materials: Your reclaimed body image, paper or cardstock, favorite art supplies, glue, scissors, and optional decorative materials such as ribbon, pressed flowers, metallic accents, or collage elements.
